A title is required. The description is measured in bytes. A custom thumbnail needs a verified channel. You see all of that in the composer, before the video goes in the queue.

A title field, because YouTube insists on one
YouTube will not take a video without a title, so the composer asks for one and caps it at 100 characters. The description is capped at 5,000 bytes rather than characters, so an emoji or a line of Japanese costs more than one each. The counter counts bytes, so you find out while you are typing.

The questions people actually ask before they connect an account.
Is a Google account the same as a YouTube channel?
No, and this is the one that trips people up. Connect signs you in with Google, then looks for a channel on that account. If the account has no channel, connect stops there and saves nothing. Create the channel on YouTube first, then come back and connect.
How long can the title and description be?
The title is required and caps at 100 characters. The description caps at 5,000 bytes, which is not the same as 5,000 characters. An emoji or a non-Latin script costs several bytes per character, so the counter in the composer counts bytes rather than characters.
Can I set a custom thumbnail?
Yes, once your channel is verified. Scrub the video to the frame you want and that frame goes up as the thumbnail. YouTube accepts JPEG or PNG up to 2MB. Shorts are the exception: YouTube does not allow a custom thumbnail on a Short and picks a frame on its own.
How do I publish a Short?
You upload a video and YouTube decides. Anything square or vertical and up to 3 minutes is treated as a Short. There is no field in the API to mark one, so no tool can promise it. Give it the right shape and the right length and it lands as a Short.
How big a file can I schedule?
The API takes up to 256GB. Your channel is the tighter limit: 15 minutes per video until the channel is verified, then 12 hours. The upload streams from storage to YouTube instead of being held in memory first, so a long file does not stall, and a dropped upload restarts on a fresh session by itself.
What does JuzPost get access to when I connect?
